The house
An elegant little place ten minutes from the center of Kalamata and fifteen from the sea, wrapped in a garden that guests keep writing about long after they leave.
Villa Georgia is made for resting — especially in the garden — with the Messinian Gulf showing through the olive trees, and the historic center, the castle and Kalamata beach only a few minutes away.
One bedroom with a king-size bed. A fully equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer and oven, a washing machine, a bathroom with a shower, and a 55″ television with Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV. Fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, free parking and a barbecue — all inside a 2,000 m² olive grove. It sleeps two comfortably, and of course your pet.
Georgia and Stavros are cheerful, sociable and generous hosts. They live next door and run the place themselves. Supermarket, restaurants, traditional tavernas and cafés are all a breath away.
Inside & out
Walled, planted, and shaded by old olive trees. This is the part guests write about afterwards.
Outdoor dining under the vine, with Taygetos behind you and the gulf glinting through the grove. Most evenings end here rather than in town.
King-size bed, air conditioning, a wardrobe with hangers and an iron. Bed linen, extra pillows and blankets, all where you would expect them.
Oven, hob, fridge-freezer and everything else you need to cook a real meal instead of eating out twice a day.
Two sofas, a wood fireplace for the cold months, board games and books on the shelf. The 55″ TV has Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV already signed in — for the evening it rains, which in Messinia is not often.
A key box, so nobody has to wait around to hand over keys — arrive at four in the morning if that is when your flight lands. Internet that holds a video call, a washing machine, and room for four cars inside the gate.

This is a house for two, so we do not do big parties — but we do set the garden up for the things people come to Messinia to do properly. Tell us what you have in mind and we will handle the rest with people we already work with.
Set up before you arrive
Table under the olive trees, flowers, and the gulf going gold behind you. We will keep it a secret from whoever needs to be surprised.
Two of you, plus witnesses
A small ceremony in the grove and dinner afterwards. Paperwork, celebrant and photographer arranged locally.
Cooked and cleared for you
A chef comes to the house, cooks Messinian, serves on the patio, and leaves the kitchen the way they found it.
Half or full day
Photographers and small productions use the grove and the patio as a location. Available on non-booked dates.
Occasions are arranged separately from the nightly rate. Send us the date and what you picture; you will get a full cost, suppliers included, within two days. Quiet hours here run from 23:00 — it is a residential valley, and that is a large part of why you would come.

Location
The house sits in a working olive valley: close enough for dinner in the old town, far enough that at night you hear only the cicadas. Bring a car — up here everything is a short drive rather than a walk.
About the town
A handsome seaside town in the southern Peloponnese, known for its history, its beaches and its food — and a place worth building a whole trip around.
Archaeological sites and cultural landmarks throughout the town. The Municipal Railway Park, a former station turned into a public garden, and the Military Museum, which sets out the town’s long military past.
Kilometers of coastline. A quiet stretch to lie in the sun, or somewhere livelier with watersports — you will find both. The water is clear and good for swimming.
Fresh seafood, the famous whole roast pork, and some of the best extra-virgin olive oil in the country. The evening scene is lively too, with plenty of bars for those who want to stay out.
History, culture, food or time outdoors — Kalamata has something for all of them.

The shortest stay we take is three nights.
Forty per cent confirms the dates. Pay the full amount up front instead if you prefer.
The balance is settled at check-in.

From the grove
Every November we pick the olives from our own trees. Depending on the year we gather more than a tonne, and press around 200 liters of oil from them.
It is 100% natural, with nothing added — extra virgin, and of very good quality. When we have produced enough, we are glad to sell small quantities.
